1) Allagash Curieux- Blue Dog’s most popular Barrel-Aged Ale for 4 years. Allagash’s already delicious and rich Tripel Ale is aged in Jim Beam Bourbon barrels for eight weeks in cold cellars. The resulting slightly cloudy, pale-golden brew is then blended with a portion of fresh Tripel Ale to create a unique layering which honors both the beer and the bourbon flavors, leaving neither to overwhelm. 11% abv, Allagash Brewing, Portland, ME.
2) Epic Smoked & Oaked- Another favorite at the Blue Dog when it is available. Smoked Cherrywood malts and aging in whisky barrels presents a balance of copper-colored sweetness and alcohol and a lingering smoky nose. 9.5% abv. Epic Brewing, Salt lake City, UT.
3) Uinta Labyrinth – Previously available only in bottles to the Blue Dog crowd, we will pour this rich black stout into tulips to show off the complex flavors of coffee, malts, dark fruits, chocolate and the star of the show, the flavor of smoky oak barrels. 13.2% abv. Uinta Brewing, Salt Lake City, UT.
